A music professional for over 30 years, and currently Director of Music at a Dorset Upper School, I have taught, performed and composed in classical, jazz and popular styles. Having graduated from York University in 1990 (BA Hons 2:1 in Music) I then spent the next decade working as a freelance musician, performing in bands, for studio sessions and writing professionally for various clients and artists. After my post-grad PGCE qualification in 2000 I relocated to Dorset where I have taught music to thousands of students aged 13-18. Currently I am Director of Music at a local Upper School. I bring my vast experience and high professional expectations to all my teaching, and have helped students to achieve their dreams, many going on to study music at Universities and Conservatoires and work in the music industry. Currently I have some availability for private tuition in the following instruments: trombone, valved brass, saxophone, bass guitar, drum kit.
